Documentary Wedding Photography
I believe wedding photography should be fun, relaxed and unobtrusive and to get the best wedding photos all you need to do is enjoy your wedding day and ignore me as much as possible as I document your day.
I know how special your day is and working with my wife I aim to document the day in the most natural way possible. We work together to make sure no moment of your day is missed.
Your wedding day should be filled with love, laughter and family and not spent posing for awkward staged photographs. I try and keep posed formal shots to the minimum and will never ask you to say cheese.
For couple photos I use my unique creativity, vision and experience to create spectacular shots for your parent’s mantel piece and spend the rest of the day capturing memories.
Before your wedding I will run through your day with you in advance either by phone, online or if we meet for a pre-wedding shoot. I will go over all aspects of your day and give you a questionnaire to fill out to make sure I know as much as possible about for day.
On your special day I will arrive a few hours before the ceremony to photograph you and your bridesmaids getting ready, as well as getting the detail shots of your dress, rings and shoes. Either myself or my wife will go and get photos of the groom and his groomsmen getting ready then as the day progresses we’ll disappear into the crowds to spend time capturing the day as it naturally happens.
We will follow you, your friends and family at the ceremony then onto the reception.
At some point during your day I’d like to take a walk with the two of you to capture some intimate moments.
Then later in the day I will photograph the cutting of the cake, the first dance and then all your family and friends on the dance floor.
I want you to look back at your wedding day and see images that make you relive the special moments, the nervous moments and the little moments you missed.
At the end of the day the food’s been eaten, the band’s packed up, but you’ll always have your photographs to remember your day.
If that sounds like what you want from a photographer, then say hello, I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
